Stages' production presents the play to best advantage, with forceful direction by Brad Dalton. His staging of the action on Kirk Markley's spare set, enhanced by John Smetak's dramatic lighting and Tim Thomson's unsettling sound design, help maintain an ominous and oppressive atmosphere.
