By furniture, I mean things that get a lot of direct human interaction. They are sat on, leaned upon, slept in, open, closed, etc. Much of my work might be considered "furnishings", but only a subset meet this finer (and completely idiosyncratic) standard.
All the work here is human-scale and has a clear function. I like to make pieces that invite touch and use, that people are anxious to try out. I believe furniture can be beautiful and artistic, but no one should have to ask if its safe to sit in a chair.
